I am so impressed with all of the hard work the students put in to their math projects. They came out way better than I would have ever imagined! I have more photos to post, I'm just waiting for them to finish loading onto my computer. Fourth graders have been so busy in the past few weeks! In math last week we focused on factors, multiples, and prime and composite numbers. In ELA we have been focusing on Poetry and elements of poems. This week we began a new unit about Heroes. We will be talking a lot about character traits that Heroes have. In writing students are writing an 8 sentence paragraph on their opinion using this prompt, "Should plastic straws be banned?" Students read an article to help them form an opinion based on facts. In Religion we have been learning a lot about Advent and various Christmas symbols.
I apologize for not sharing pictures, I usually share much more! I have been having issues with my photos downloading on my computer. The "cloud" is definitely new to me! Mrs. White has been trying to help me. Hopefully I will be able to figure out the issue soon and get back to my photo posts! We had such a fun day in science learning all about lava the the different types of volcanoes. Students explored the question, "Why do some volcanoes explode?" In order to find out the answer we looked and thick and thin lava. Students also had fun mixing vinegar and baking soda to make an "explosion." |
